Situated within the village of Thornton-Cleveleys, we provide a wide range of medical services for local people, from one-off problems to long-term illnesses.
The Thornton Practice is a long established GP training practice. Our clinical team consists of eight GPs, one ANP, four practice nurses, two HCAs and one Health Advisor. We also receive clinical assistance and support from a pharmacist, district nursing team, health visiting team, midwifery team and treatment room team. We have been a training practice for approximately 30 years, and nearly all the GP partners who form our team were originally partially trained here.
Our practice has a long history of treating the families of Thornton and surrounding areas, and we maintain our philosophy of providing high quality, patient-centred care.
At all times we attempt to provide an accessible, approachable and friendly service to all our patients.
The practice is a member of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board
We are also registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) under the Health and Social Care Act 2008. The CQC regularly inspect the practice to ensure that we are meeting national standards of quality and safety. To find out more, visit: www.cqc.org.uk
